The Mayyas are Lebanon's all-female precision dance company — thirty-six dancers who move as one body, one breath, one nation raising its arms toward the light.

Mayyās — the proud walk of a lioness. A name carried out of Arabic and set down on stages from Beirut to Los Angeles.
Founded and choreographed by Nadim Cherfan, the company is an alternative precision dance troupe of thirty-six women who translate Lebanese memory into geometry — arms as calligraphy, silence as tempo, discipline as devotion.
"You planted hope and light in all of our hearts."— President Michel Aoun
First place. A crown from the region that raised them.
Reaching the semifinals in front of the world.
Champions. Sofía Vergara's Golden Buzzer. A nation held its breath.
Awarded by President Michel Aoun in appreciation of the troupe's artistry.
On stage with Beyoncé at the opening of the year.
Reunited with Beyoncé in Paris — a homecoming in another language.
Beyoncé's surprise 'Drunk in Love' — choreographed alongside the lionesses to close the night.
Every formation is a script. Every hand — a syllable. The company builds images at the edge of illusion: mandalas, tides, thrones of arms that seem to breathe on their own.

A mandala of thirty-six.
Plate I
Hand-beaded, hand-sewn.
Plate II"We rehearse a single move until the thirty-six of us forget where one body ends and the next begins."
